Wind Turbines Explode Bats’ Lungs

Researchers have found that approximately 2/3 of the winged creatures found dead near wind power turbines are bats.  The mystery was how the bats were killed. Most birds are killed from direct hits with the turbines, and often present external injuries, but according to recent findings, bats die due to the blood vessels in their lungs bursting.
