Said Damon to the Associated Press: “It’s like a really bad Disney movie.”
“I know she was a mayor of a really, really small town,” he said.
Damon offered up his assessment, which - to say the least - wasn’t too optimistic about the Republican Veep nominee. He also wanted to query as to whether or not Palin believed “dinosaurs were here 4000 years ago, because she has the nuclear codes.”
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was the star speaker at last night’s Republican National Convention. Conservatives, on the camera, have nothing but praise for the Veep pick, but what do they really think. If the unintended off-camera commentary provides any indication, even conservatives don’t have faith in McCain’s pick for Vice President.
At one point, Murphy says: “”I mean is she really the most qualified woman they could have picked?”
Noonan responds: “Most qualified? No, I think they went with for this, excuse me, political bull$**t about narratives”
Researchers have found that approximately 2/3 of the winged creatures found dead near wind power turbines are bats. The mystery was how the bats were killed. Most birds are killed from direct hits with the turbines, and often present external injuries, but according to recent findings, bats die due to the blood vessels in their lungs bursting. Find out how this happens in the video below.
Bill Clinton addressed the Democratic National Convention tonight, on the third day of the Denver event. Former president Clinton dovetailed on the riveting speech given by his wife, New York Senator Hillary Clinton.
Clinton’s speech was considered to be the best of the convention, thus far (though, I may contend that Dennis Kucinich’s speech rivals Bill Clinton’s). Whatever the case, fmr. president Clinton’s speech contained some salient quips. The most memorable was this wonderful line, which will likely be recorded in the annals of history: “People the world over have always been more impressed by the power of our example than by the example of our power.”
There was no doubt last night that both Bill Clinton and former opponent Hillary fully support Obama as the next president. Where the election will head from here, nobody knows. See Part 1 below:
The 2008 Democratic National Convention is in full swing. Last night Michelle Obama gave a riveting speech to the throngs of faithful dems in the crowd. Tonight, Dennis Kucinich set the crowd on fire with his admonition to “wake up America.”
As we await the results of the coming speeches in Denver convention, I thought I’d attach a video excerpt of Dennis Kucinich’s speech on Tuesday. To be fair, Kucinich gave one of the best political speeches I have ever heard.
